Glen Ellyn Strong Virtual 5K

Stay active while practicing social distancing by participating in the Glen Ellyn Strong Virtual 5K! The 5K is free and open to the public (no registration required) but you can also get gear delivered straight to your door! Order a race shirt and every purchase made will help support the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry.

How it works:

  • Walk, jog, or run the distance (~3.1 miles) at home, around your neighborhood, or on your treadmill anytime between April 26-May 15.
  • Snap a picture of you and your tracker, pedometer, or treadmill console.
  • Email the picture to [email protected] or post it on Instagram and tag @glenellynparkdist by 11:59pm on May 15.
  • All finisher pics will be entered to win a gift card to A Toda Madre and may be posted on our Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram pages.
  • Free to participate and open to the public. All ages welcome.
  • No registration required.
  • Print and cut out a race bib to wear on your run!

Shirt sales have closed. We would like to extend a special thank you to our supporters! Due to your generosity, over $2,000 was raised for the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry!

We’re excited to offer t-shirts for the Glen Ellyn Strong Virtual 5K through Bonfire. Every purchase made will help support the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry. As many people are losing work hours and income, the food pantry is experiencing more demand from your neighbors in need.

  • Order will be accepted through April 30.
  • Order will ship between May 8 to May 17.
  • Tees are $25 each and available in four colors.
  • Net proceeds will be donated to Glen Ellyn Food Pantry.
