Phase 5 Changes at Sunset Pool and Maryknoll Splash Park

The Glen Ellyn Park District is excited to announce updated plans for Sunset Pool and Maryknoll Splash Park when the State moves to Phase 5 of Restore Illinois on Friday, June 11. As a reminder, Illinois is presently still in Bridge Phase and the District must follow those guidelines and restrictions until the State enters Phase 5.

Sunset Pool

Reservations will no longer be required and there will not be a time limit for open swim starting Saturday, June 12, hours at the pool will be modified, and season pool passes will return!

Season pool passes can be purchased online or in-person starting Friday, June 11. Fees are available here. Purchasers can choose to apply funds paid for 5-visit passes bought prior to June 11, 2021, toward the purchase of 2021 season passes by calling or visiting the locations below. Adult Lap Swim Only pass holders will receive further information via email later today. Photos for new or replacement ID cards can also be taken at these locations during normal business hours. In addition to season passes, 5-visit passes will still be available for purchase or patrons may choose to pay daily admission. Fees for these options are available here.

The registration system will remain in place for Adult Lap Swim, with walk-ups subject to availability. A season pass or payment of the daily admission fee is required to register for adult lap swim time slots.

The concession stand will remain closed this summer. Guests may enjoy outside food and drinks within the concession stand area. No coolers, catered food or glass will be permitted, and food and drinks are not allowed on the pool deck.

Currently, swimming pool guidelines still require face coverings for unvaccinated children and unvaccinated adults when not in the water. Fully vaccinated individuals may visit the facility without wearing a face covering. Exceptions continue for those with qualified medical conditions and those under 2 years of age.

Maryknoll Splash Park

Beginning Friday, June 11, reservations will no longer be required. Season hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday. The facility will observe special hours of 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on July 4 and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on September 6. Face coverings must be worn by unvaccinated children and unvaccinated adults when checking in and when social distancing is not possible.
