Vaccine Clinic on April 23

Glen Ellyn Park District, Jewel-Osco Pharmacy, and State Representative Terra Costa Howard are hosting a joint vaccine clinic on April 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m at Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center, 800 St. Charles Road. Covid-19 vaccine booster shots, flu shots, and pneumonia/tetanus/shingles vaccines will be available.

Covid-19 Vaccine Booster Shots: To get your Covid-19 vaccine booster shot, you’ll need to bring a copy of your CDC Vaccination Card or other proof that you completed your vaccinations at least 4 months ago for Pfizer, Moderna, and Janssen. You’ll also need your driver’s license or state ID, as well as your health insurance information.

Individuals must be 50 years of age and older for a Covid-19 vaccine booster. If interested in 3rd dose boosters, anyone 12+ years is eligible as long as previous dose was at least 5 months prior for Pfizer and Moderna, and 2 months prior for Janssen. Pfizer, Moderna, and Janssen will be available; only Pfizer will be administered for ages 12-17.

Flu Shots: There will be a charge for flu shots, but you will not have to pay anything out-of-pocket if you are covered by Medicare or a PPO insurance plan. Flu shots are available for individuals 3 years of age or older. Minors require a parent/guardian signature. To sign up to receive a flu shot, please stop by the Ackerman SFC front desk or call (630) 317-0130.

Pneumonia/Tetanus/Shingles: All of these vaccines will be available as well. You will not have to pay anything out-of-pocket if you are covered by Medicare or a PPO insurance plan.

Please note, walk-ups will be accepted but are subject to availability and longer wait times. Those that have registered in advance will be prioritized. Advanced registration is highly recommended.
