Delivery via helicopter at Spring Avenue Recreation Center on January 26

On Thursday, January 26, 2023, Midwest Mechanical will be installing HVAC units at Spring Avenue Recreation Center, 185 Spring Avenue. Due to the current condition of the ground, these units will be installed via helicopter at no additional cost to the Glen Ellyn Park District.

For safety during the installation, the building and parking lot will be closed until 9 a.m., and the dog park will be closed from 5 to 10 a.m. Spring Avenue Recreation Center Preschool classes scheduled to start at 8:45 or 9 a.m. will have a delayed start time of 9:15 a.m.

Patrons needing registration assistance from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. are advised to visit or call Main Street Recreation Center, 501 Hill Avenue, (630) 858-2463. Spring Avenue Fitness Center members may use Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center, 800 St. Charles Road, during the closure. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
