Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Requests

How to File a Freedom of Information Act Request

  • You will receive a response to your request within 5 business days. If the District denies your request, you may follow the appeals process outlined in the Illinois Freedom of Information Act. You may choose to inspect or receive copies of the information requested.
  • We will provide information in an electronic format for no charge. The District will also provide a hard copy at no cost for the first 50 pages (in black and white, letter or legal size) and extra pages for $0.15 per page. For color and/or odd-sized copies, the District charges the requestor the actual cost.
