About the Scholarship Fund
The Glen Ellyn Park District recognizes there are community residents who may suffer, at any time, from economic setbacks that might preclude their participation in Park District programs. For this reason, the Park District established a scholarship fund enabling low income individuals and families to participate in recreational programs. The scholarship fund helps over 150 families annually, right here in Glen Ellyn! In 2016, approximately $6,000 was raised through events such as “Pumpkins on the Green,” the Freedom Four™ 4-Mile Run, and Afternoon Festivities.
PHOTO RELEASE: The Glen Ellyn Park District takes photographs or video of participants promoting our programs, services, events, activities, and facilities in our brochures, website or agency social media, etc. By participating in or attending any Glen Ellyn Park District activities the participant (or parent/guardian of a minor participant) agrees to the use and distribution of his or her image (or image of a minor child/ward) in photographs, video recordings, and any other electronic reproductions of such activities for any purpose without inspection, compensation, or any other consideration now and in the future.
