Freedom Four™ 4-Mile Run
New Registration Process in 2017!
Join the biggest event of the running season and help the Park District raise money for scholarships! Last year, $2,000 was raised to help provide recreation opportunities for families in Glen Ellyn. The Freedom Four™ 4-Mile Run is open to ages 6 & up. A Freedom Four™ t-shirt is guaranteed to every early bird registration. Participants registering after early bird registration receive t-shirts while supplies last. Awards are presented to the top two male and female finishers in each age division at around 9am at the park band shell.

Registrations will not be accepted at any Park District office.
IMPORTANT DATES & FEES:
- Early Bird Registration (Ends June 29 at 11:59pm): $25 per Person
- Regular Registration (Opens July 1 at 6am): $30 per Person
Early Bird registered participants can pick up their race packets at Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center on Saturday, July 1 from 10am to 5pm. Day-of-race registration and packet pick up begins at 6 am and ends at 7:30 am at Lake Ellyn Park.

About the Scholarship Fund
The Glen Ellyn Park District recognizes there are community residents who may suffer, at any time, from economic setbacks that might preclude their participation in Park District programs. For this reason, the Park District established a scholarship fund enabling low income individuals and families to participate in recreational programs. The scholarship fund helps over 150 families annually, right here in Glen Ellyn! In 2016, approximately $6,000 was raised through events such as “Pumpkins on the Green,” the Freedom Four™ 4-Mile Run, and Afternoon Festivities.
PHOTO RELEASE: The Glen Ellyn Park District takes photographs or video of participants promoting our programs, services, events, activities, and facilities in our brochures, website or agency social media, etc. By participating in or attending any Glen Ellyn Park District activities the participant (or parent/guardian of a minor participant) agrees to the use and distribution of his or her image (or image of a minor child/ward) in photographs, video recordings, and any other electronic reproductions of such activities for any purpose without inspection, compensation, or any other consideration now and in the future.
