The Glen Ellyn Park District and the Village of Glen Ellyn have earned the highest recognition in the Mayors’ Monarch Pledge program, Monarch Champion. Updates on ice safety conditions at Lake Ellyn, Lake Foxcroft, and Sunset Park—relocated from Newton Park for the 2025/26 season—are communicated with the public through the District’s hotline at gepark.org/hotline. While ice conditions are checked daily, the hotline is updated only when conditions change.
