Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center

The Glen Ellyn Park District’s top-notch Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center, located at 800 St. Charles Road in Glen Ellyn, provides classes, equipment, and amenities to help you achieve your health and fitness goals. Membership options are available for both residents and nonresidents on a month-to-month basis. The facility offers more than 55 free weekly classes for members, along with features like basketball courts, an indoor turf, and a walking/running track. Indoor batting cages are available to rent. Members may also use the Spring Avenue Fitness Center at no charge.

Spring Avenue Fitness

Looking for a friendly atmosphere to work out? The Spring Avenue Fitness Center, located within the Spring Avenue Recreation Center, offers high-quality equipment for various fitness needs. Both residents and nonresidents can purchase daily passes or choose from annual and 3-month memberships.

Group Fitness

Stay motivated and fight boredom with Ackerman’s group fitness classes! Ackerman SFC offers over 55 classes each week, free for members, with a variety of options like BODYPUMP™, Cycling, Yoga, and Barre. Many classes are also offered at other Park District locations. These classes offer energizing music and a social atmosphere to keep you coming back for more.

Outdoor Fitness Equipment

Get some fresh air while staying fit at Ackerman Park’s outdoor fitness area, located at 800 St. Charles Road in Glen Ellyn. A variety of equipment is available, including city bikes, a sit-up bench, push-up bars, a suspension trainer, a magnetic kettlebell trainer, parallel bars, an incline press, and three different level steppers. The equipment can be used alone or paired with running or walking on the Ackerman Park trail to add cross-training to your cardiovascular workout.

Please note that unlike our playgrounds, which are designed for children, this facility is intended for fitness activities.
