Popular programs fill up fast, but nothing prevents a program from running more than waiting until the last minute to register. Classes that have a low enrollment are generally cancelled approximately one week before the first meeting date. Please sign up for your programs as early as possible to avoid cancellations. Unless specified on the program information, registration is a first-come, first-serve basis.
Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover card. Please be sure you are using either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as your browser. Online registration portal »

Cancellations, Refund Requests
To cancel or withdraw from an activity, you must call (630) 858-2462 or complete our Refund Request Form. You cannot complete cancellations and withdrawals through the online registration portal. Glen Ellyn Park District will deduct a service charge from all cancellations. Some programs, events, and services are not refundable.
Anyone living within the geographic boundaries of the Glen Ellyn Park District is a resident. Residents make financial contributions to the operation of the park system via property taxes. In order to compensate for the property tax disparity, the District charges nonresidents a higher fee for programs.
The quickest way to determine your Park District resident status is to check your property tax bill. It will list the park district to which you pay taxes. You may also call our office at (630) 858-2462 for help.
If you reside in Glen Ellyn and do not pay property taxes to any park district, you are eligible for the Nonresident Household Membership. Please call (630) 858-2462 for details.

The class I want is full, will you be adding additional spots or classes?
Each program has a set minimum and maximum number of participants based on providing quality instruction, space availability, number of instructors, supplies, and other factors. For some programs, we may be able to accommodate the wait list or add an extra session, while we may not be able to do so for others. We recommend registering for classes as soon as possible after registration opens for the season.
How do I get my name on the wait list for a class?
From the activities online registration page, click on ‘+ Add to Waitlist’ and follow the on-screen prompts. You do not have to pay to be placed on the wait list. If you are on a waiting list and a spot becomes available, we will contact you for payment. If the Glen Ellyn Park District is unable to get in contact with you within 24 hours, we will move to the next person on the list. It is a good idea to put your name on the waiting list, but this does not ensure that you will be admitted into the class.
The person I am trying to register is too old/too young for the class, can I still register?
Listed with every class is an age and/or grade designation that notifies interested participants of the age demographics for each class or program. This designation is necessary for several reasons. First, the class or program is designed for a certain age group. Second, we have found that participants enjoy and get more out of a program when interacting with peer groups of similar ages. Third, generally people feel more comfortable around people their own age. Last, concerns of safety and fair playing become issues when mixing age groups especially in youth.
If you wish to request an age exception for your child, please call (630) 858-2462 during normal registration office hours or complete the Contact Us form. If the supervisor grants an age exception, you must register for the class in person at the Spring Avenue Recreation Center. You cannot complete a registration with age exception online. Age exceptions are made on a case-by-case and program-by-program basis and may not be granted. We strongly encourage you to register for programs that are designed for your child’s age group.
