    Park District Offers New Futsal Soccer League for Boys and Girls

    An interesting new sport is now offered through the Glen Ellyn Park District: Futsal soccer. According to Brad Thomas, Recreation Supervisor for the park district, the Futsal name comes from the Spanish term “Futbol Sala”, which translates to “Indoor Football”, or in the U.S., “Indoor Soccer”.     Skate Park Closed for Season

    And another great season comes to an end! The Skate Park at Newton Park is now closed for the season. We will reopen the park in the spring as weather permits. See you on the ramps next year!

    Get Outside with Winter Bingo

    Use our Winter Bingo card to get outside with your family this season! Mark each picture on the game card as you find or do it. Try to get five boxes in a row! When you’ve completed five in a row, turn your sheet in at the front desk of the Spring Avenue Recreation Center to entered to win prizes. Winners will be selected throughout December, January, and February. You can find the Winter Bingo card on page 59 of the Winter 2018 Activity Guide or download a copy here!

    The Park District is accepting applications for summer jobs from now – February 28, 2018. Available positions include lifeguard, swim instructor, and camp counselor. The District is also seeking support staff for Sunset Pool, Holes & Knolls Mini Golf, and the Splash Park. Applications are only accepted online.
