Notice: Newton Skate Park Closed for Redevelopment

Improvements to the District’s skate park at Newton Park are underway. Demolition work has begun as of August 24, which will be followed by asphalt improvements. The surface will get a color coat which will not only provide a visual interest, but also keep temperatures cooler than black asphalt. This color coating needs high temperature to be applied and must be done in the month of September. The skate ramps are coming in early November and are expected to take only a few weeks to install. The skate park is closed while these improvements take place. For more information, please contact Nathan Troia at ntroia@gepark.org or visit gepark.org/projects.
