Stay & Play Open Gym

Children 4 and under can stay active and play in the Spring Avenue Gymnastics Center. This safe and fun environment is the perfect spot for your child to interact with you and other peers. Pre-registration is not required, but arrive early as space is limited to the first 30 participants. Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. Pay inside the Gymnastics Center. Boating in the Park

All ages
Rent a kayak, canoe, or a pedal boat at Lake Ellyn Park. Boating in the Park is open to all ages, but all participants must wear a properly fitted life jacket provided by the Glen Ellyn Park District before entering the lake. No registration required. The fee is $10 per 20 minutes. Cash payment only. For more information, please call (630) 942-7266.

Storytime in the Park

All ages
Come out to your favorite neighborhood parks for songs, rhymes and stories. Don’t forget to bring a blanket and bug spray. This activity is designed for children and their grownups. Drop-offs are not allowed. For more information or updates in case of inclement weather, please check the Glen Ellyn Public Library social media or call (630) 469-0879. No storytime on 7/4.

Friday Night Senior Bingo

Ages 55 and up
Let’s get together for bingo! Join us on the first Friday of every month from 6:30-8:30 pm at Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center for Senior Bingo. Play several rounds of bingo for a chance to win gift cards, candy, home décor, and a grand prize for the final game. No registration required. $1 per card. Note: Friday Night Senior Bingo will not take place on 5/3.


Donuts & Bingo

Ages 55 and up
Enjoy bingo, coffee, and donuts at Main Street Recreation Center on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Games are from 10:30-11:30 am. One bingo card per participant. Coffee, donuts, and bingo cards are provided, and prizes will be awarded to the winners. This free drop-in activity is offered in partnership with Glen Ellyn Public Library. Drop-in Open Pickleball

Drop-in Open Pickleball is available at Ackerman SFC. Participation in pickleball requires either a membership, punch pass, or daily admission fee. Check out the schedule »


Adult Volleyball Open Gym

Join us for exciting, competitive drop-in volleyball this summer, starting June 17th through August 19th, from 6-9 pm (excluding 7/15 and 7/22). Depending on the number of participants, teams may be formed on the spot. Free for Ackerman SFC members; open gym fee applies to non-members. For more information, please call (630) 942-7262.


Ageless Grace

Ages 50 and up
Improve cognitive and physical health functions in this free drop-in activity every Tuesday at 10-10:45 am. The class focuses on activating all five functions of the brain: strategic planning, memory/recall, analytical thinking, creativity, and kinesthetic learning. Connect and socialize with peers through a variety of engaging clubs designed for individuals aged 60 and above. These clubs gather at the Main Street Recreation Center, providing opportunities to meet new friends and explore your interests.
