Glen Ellyn Park District’s “Movies in the Parks” Series Begins June 8

“Movies in the Parks” is one of the Glen Ellyn Park District’s most popular summertime events! Come out and enjoy free movies under the stars. “Movies in the Parks” runs from June-August, with a mixture of G and PG-rated movies that are perfect for the whole family. New this year, the Park District has partnered with the College of DuPage to bring a sing-along movie to the community in July. All movies will start at dusk (about 8:15pm), weather permitting.

WHAT’S PLAYING:

  • June 8: Shaun the Sheep Movie (PG) at Maryknoll Park
  • June 22: The Sandlot (PG) at Village Green Park
  • July 6: Minions (PG) at Lake Foxcroft Park
  • July 14: Mary Poppins Sing-A-Long. This movie is presented by the Glen Ellyn Park District and College of DuPage. Beer, wine and other concessions will be available for sale. Outside alcohol is not permitted. The movie will begin at 8pm at the McAninch Arts Center – Lakeside Pavilion at the College of DuPage Campus.
  • July 27: Tomorrowland (PG) at Newton Park
  • August 10: The Peanuts Movie (G) at Lake Ellyn Park

“Movies in the Parks” is the perfect opportunity to bring your family out for a fun evening – don’t forget your blankets or lawn chairs! If there is rain or other severe weather, the movie will be canceled.
