The Glen Ellyn Park District will begin the renovation of the Spring Avenue Recreation Center parking lot on Wednesday, June 21st. The first phase of construction will take place on the south side of the parking lot.

The north entrance into the parking lot (normally the exit) will be utilized as both entrance and exit during phase one and vice versa during phase two. Phase two will include the renovation of the north side of the parking lot, a new paved walkway leading from the parking lot to the Dog Park, and new entrance and exit Dog Park gates. The project should take approximately one (1) month to complete.

Walkways and entrances into the building may be subject to change during the construction process. Wayfinding signage will be posted to direct patrons into the building/park.

During phase two of the renovation, which will have greater impact on users of the Dog Park, information will be sent out and posted as to how to enter and exit the Dog Park. During the construction phase of the Dog Park walkway and replacement of the entrance/exit fence it may be necessary to temporarily close the Dog Park at that time due to safety concerns. The District will make a concerted effort to minimize any closure as well as provide plenty of advanced notification.
