Safe Solar Viewing & Glasses Giveaway 2017

Posted on: July 31, 2017

On Monday, August 21, a solar eclipse will take place across the United States. The moon will begin to blot out the sun in Chicago beginning at 11:54am and cover up to 87% of the sun’s surface by 1:19pm. Planning to watch the eclipse? Be sure to practice safe solar-viewing guidelines. Download a handout from the American Astronomical Society on how to view the 2017 solar eclipse safely.

Plus, follow us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram for a chance to win two pairs of American Paper Optics eclipse glasses. We’ll be selecting winners every Tuesday and Thursday from August 1st to August 17th.
