Egg Hunts Hosted This March in Glen Ellyn

Posted on: March 5, 2018

Maryknoll Park will be chock full of plastic eggs on Friday, March 30 as the Glen Ellyn Park District presents its annual Eggs-trodinary Egg Hunt.

Children age 6 and younger will search the grounds for beautifully colored eggs stocked with candy and other prizes. “Special eggs” will be redeemable for larger prize baskets. Registered children should come prepared with their own baskets to keep their eggs in. There are two egg hunt times scheduled. Though the 9am hunt is filled, spots are still available in the 11am time slot for eager egg-hunters.

All children must be accompanied by an adult, but only children need to register. All participants are asked to check-in with the egg hunt staff before the event.

This year’s Eggs-trodinary Egg Hunt is sponsored, in part, by Glen Ellyn Bank & Trust.

The egg hunt will feature a special guest – the Easter Bunny. Children can meet the bunny and have their picture taken. Remember to dress for the weather, as the outdoor egg hunt will go on rain, snow or shine.

For older egg-hunters seeking a challenge, the park district presents the Flashlight Egg Hunt held from 8:30 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 29. It will be hosted at Churchill Park, adjacent to Churchill School. This hunt is for kids ages 7 through 10.

Children should bring baskets and flashlights and dress for the weather. The fee is $6 for residents and $9 for non-residents.
