Bring the Fam to the Glen Ellyn Park District’s Winter Gym Jam!

As the Glen Ellyn Park District enters the year 2019, the kickoff of its 100th anniversary celebration begins! The first special event to recognize this incredible milestone is the Park District’s Winter Gym Jam. Attendance is FREE for all ages.

The festivities take place on January 6, 2019, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center (800 St. Charles Road, Glen Ellyn). “We’ll have a DJ playing music and orchestrating interactive games, and we’ll have giant versions of Connect 4, Jenga, checkers, pick-up sticks, Uno, playing cards, tic-tac-toe, and sports pong in the gym,” said Jeannie Robinson, Assistant Superintendent of Recreation Services.

“We’re also planning special inflatable attractions on the turf which will include bowling, a giant snow globe (offering a terrific photo opportunity), and bounce houses,” added Robinson.

Refreshments will be on hand for purchase, and free anniversary cake will be available while supplies last. Sponsors for this fun, first-time event include Razi Orthodontics, Goldfish Swim School, and Awesome Amusements.
