One Weekend, Two Great Events!

Kids can climb inside dump trucks, fire trucks and more on Saturday, May 4th or test their knowledge on a miniature riding course, watch BMX demonstrations, and get an on-the-spot bike check on Sunday, May 5th.


Touch-A-Truck

Date: Saturday, May 4
Location: Maryknoll Park, 845 Pershing Avenue, Glen Ellyn
Time: 10am-12pm

Touch-A-Truck offers hundreds of truck-loving tots and their families the opportunity to sit-in, touch, discover and safely explore their favorite big trucks and things on wheels. Mini truck aficionados will love the experience of pressing buttons, honking horns, climbing into different vehicles, and meeting the men and women who drive them!

  • Over 20 vehicles on display
  • Bring an empty aluminum can to be crushed by our steamroller
  • Truck-themed bounce houses
  • Horn-free hour from 11:30am-12pm
  • Giveaways (while supplies last)

Limited parking will be available within Maryknoll Park. Overflow parking is available near Building 6 at Roosevelt Glen Corporate Center (799 Roosevelt Road) or at the Spring Avenue Recreation Center (185 Spring Avenue). A complimentary shuttle will run every 15 minutes from the overflow parking areas to the event area. We kindly request that you use caution when driving in the area and follow all posted signage. Due to the popularity of this event, we strongly recommend carpooling or getting dropped off when possible. Touch-A-Truck will run weather-permitting.


Glen Ellyn Bike Safety Rodeo

Date: Sunday, May 5
Location: Duane/Lorraine parking lot in Glen Ellyn
Time: 12pm-2pm

Join the Glen Ellyn Park District, Glen Ellyn Police Department, Northwestern Medicine, The Bike Hub and the Glen Ellyn Public Library for a Bike Safety Rodeo! Kids will learn important rules of the road and have a chance to test their knowledge on a miniature riding course. Participants must bring their own bike and wear a properly fitted bike helmet to participate in the riding course. There will also be on-the-spot bike checks, a bike decorating station, BMX demonstrations, and even a few raffles! This event will run weather permitting.
