State Representative Terra Costa Howard / the DuPage Health Coalition / Glen Ellyn Park District / Glen Ellyn Public Library / Jewel-Osco will provide a vaccine booster and flu shot clinic at Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center, 800 St. Charles Road, Glen Ellyn, Saturday, Oct. 30 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. No appointments are needed as all walk-ins are welcome for this event.

Vaccine booster shots are recommended for people who completed their Pfizer two-shot vaccination series at least six months ago and are:

• Age 65 +
• Age 18+ who have underlying medical conditions
• Age 18+ who work in high-risk settings
• Age 18+ who live in high-risk settings

To get your booster shot, you’ll need to bring a copy of your CDC Vaccination Card or other proof that you completed your vaccinations at least six months ago. You will also need your driver’s license or state ID, as well as your health insurance information. Please note that the vaccination is free, and you do not need to have health insurance to be eligible. No appointments are needed as all walk-ins are welcome for this event.

Flu shots are available for individuals 3 years of age or older. Minors require a parent/guardian signature.

For flu shots, Jewel-Osco will be collecting insurance from all individuals, if available. Medicare and PPO insurance plans will cover the vaccine 100%. The DuPage Health Coalition will provide DHC vouchers for individuals who are uninsured.

COVID vaccines can be co-administered with flu vaccinations.
