Glen Ellyn Park District Board Commissioner Paul Bischoff Jr. has recently moved outside the Glen Ellyn Park District boundaries. Due to the vacancy, the Glen Ellyn Park District will be seeking candidates to serve as Park District Commissioner for approximately seven months until the next Park District Commissioner election on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.

As part of the process to fill the vacancy, the Glen Ellyn Park District will accept applications of interested candidates through 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2022. All applications will be reviewed, and selected candidates will be requested to interview. The interviews are tentatively to take place between September 12 and September 15. A recommended candidate will be presented to the entire Board on Tuesday, September 20. On Tuesday, October 4, the candidate will be formally appointed and sworn into office, assuming the role of Park Board Commissioner from that date until April 2023. The dates prior to appointment are subject to change.
