Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) Units at Glen Ellyn Park District Parks and Facilities

As part of the District’s continued effort to provide safe parks and facilities, several Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) Units are installed or on site throughout the District.

Outdoor units are available from mid-April to October at Ackerman, Newton, and Village Green Parks. These units are mounted in a heated and weatherproof cabinet. When removed from the cabinet, a call is placed to 911 to contact emergency personnel.

  • Ackerman Park (Softball Hub Concession Building)
  • Ackerman Park (Upper Ackerman Soccer Fields)
  • Newton Park (Football Press Box)
  • Village Green Park (Concession Building)

In addition, the following facilities also have AEDs on site for use during normal hours of operation, by members, or by groups renting the spaces after hours:

  • Ackerman SFC (Front Desk & Fitness Center)
  • Lake Ellyn Boathouse
  • Holes & Knolls (Front Desk)
  • Platform Tennis Center (Inside the Paddle Hut)
  • Main Street Recreation Center (Across from the 2nd Floor Registration Office)
  • Spring Avenue Recreation Center (Outside the Fitness Center)
  • Sunset Pool (Manager and Lap Pool Offices)
