To improve water quality, we’ve begun dredging the shoreline of Lake Foxcroft. This approximately two-week project removes excess sediment, a source of nutrients that contribute to algae blooms. Additionally, dredging reduces hydrogen sulfide production, improving aquatic health and eliminating unpleasant odors.

While the lake level will be slightly lowered, the project minimizes disruption by maximizing water retention and utilizing the expertise of our Outdoor Education team for on-site monitoring. We understand there may be temporary inconveniences and appreciate your patience. Playground and paving improvements are currently undergoing permitting with DuPage County, with a projected late summer/fall start date. We’ll continue to provide updates as they become available.
