Pedal Over to the Bike Rodeo on June 7 (free with registration!)

Families are invited to gear up for a fun, educational afternoon at the Glen Ellyn Bike Rodeo, taking place on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at the Main Street Recreation Center (501 Hill Avenue).

This free event, designed for children ages 3 to 12 accompanied by an adult, focuses on bicycle safety and the rules of the road through hands-on activities, demonstrations, and more. Each child must bring their own bike and wear a properly fitted helmet to participate.

The Bike Rodeo will feature:

  • Helmet checks provided by Girl Scouts Service Unit 509
  • Bike maintenance demonstrations led by Bike Glen Ellyn
  • Obstacle course provided by Retro Glow Cycles
  • Bike decorating station courtesy of the Glen Ellyn Public Library
  • Rules of the road and e-bike/scooter education from the Glen Ellyn Police Department
  • Informational booths and giveaways from Ride Illinois and Illinois Prairie Path
  • Music, goodie bags (while supplies last), and a grand prize drawing for those in attendance

Admission is free, but advance registration is required at gepark.org/register.
