Looking for a special way to spend quality time with your grandkids? Bring them to Ackerman Park on Sunday, September 8th from 1 to 2 p.m. The Glen Ellyn Park District needs help planting small oak trees in the woods of the park.

Participants are asked to bring a shovel and work gloves, and to meet near the trailhead into the woods along the Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center entrance road.

Oaks are a keystone species of tree, and their numbers continue to decrease in our region. You can help increase the diversity in this natural area while spending time with loved ones. If your grandkids aren’t available, come by yourself or with a friend! No registration required.
