The Brondyke Family – Carrie, Rob, Chloe, Paige, and Lucy – have been named the Glen Ellyn Park District “Volunteer of the Year.” They will be recognized at the annual Glen Ellyn Community Awards on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. The recognition event, hosted by the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce, honors individuals and organizations that have been active within the community, contributing towards the betterment of Glen Ellyn.

The Brondykes have played a crucial role in our theatre productions, dedicating countless hours to set construction, ensuring the safety and beauty of each piece. Their commitment extends beyond the stage – they’ve worked backstage, managed lights, and provided support during shows, showcasing unwavering dedication.

Moreover, the Brondyke family is our go-to team for problem-solving, always there when we need an extra hand. After each production, they willingly participate in set strikes, cleaning up and returning items to our facilities with unmatched enthusiasm.

Chloe, Paige, and Lucy, the younger members of the family, go above and beyond, serving as role models to our younger participants and contributing positively to the production atmosphere.

The Glen Ellyn Park District is incredibly fortunate to have the Brondyke Family as part of our community. Their selfless dedication, energy, and contributions truly embody the spirit of volunteerism that makes our district thrive.
