Our skate park is free to use and caters to both novice and advanced skaters. Ramps, platforms, and obstacles provide a fun environment to practice your tricks. The park features a variety of elements to challenge and inspire you, including: quarter pipes, half pipes, spines, a bank ramp, a grind box, and a rail.
Safety First!
For everyone’s safety, helmets are mandatory in the skate park. Since the area is unsupervised, please be sure to practice safe skating habits.

All Ages Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 9 am to dusk Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday: 12 pm to dusk
Ages 12 & Under Only Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday: 9 am to 12 pm
Getting There
The Skate Park is located within Newton Park, 707 Fairview Avenue in Glen Ellyn, near the corner of DuPage Boulevard and Nicoll Way.
Know Before You Go: Rules & Safety Measures
The park is unsupervised and skaters skate at their own risk. Skating is a high-risk activity and can result in severe injury.
Only skateboards, scooters, and inline skates allowed in the skate park. No bicycles allowed.
Do not use equipment if broken or wet.
Skaters are responsible for inspecting equipment prior to use to ensure that it has not been vandalized and is safe for skating.
It is recommended that proper protective equipment such as helmets, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards be used during skating activities.
No personally-owned ramps, boxes, or other devices may be brought into the skating facility.
Glass objects and containers are not allowed in the skating area.
No alcohol, drugs, or tobacco products are allowed.
All participants will refrain from acting in any manner which may cause or contribute to death or injury of themselves or other persons.
All participants will act within the limits of their ability and the purpose of the equipment used.
Participants only inside the facility.
Profanity, fighting, or any disorderly conduct will result in expulsion from the skate park.
Graffiti of any kind is not allowed. This includes but is not limited to stickers, markers, or spray-painting equipment.
All participants will maintain control of their equipment while skating.
In the event of skate park rules not being followed, the Glen Ellyn Park District may elect to temporarily or permanently close the park.
Park will be closed during inclement weather.
