Led by professional instructors, our dance classes are designed to inspire creativity, self-expression, and a solid foundation in dance technique and vocabulary. Located at the Spring Avenue Recreation Center in Glen Ellyn, our Dance Academy hosts a wide range of classes, including programs for children as young as 18 months and catering to adults. Whether you’re looking for adult/tot classes, ballet, jazz, hip hop, or more, we have something for everyone.
Early Childhood & Youth Dance Programs
Designed specifically for young people 18 months and up, each carefully designed instructional and recital class offers an excellent introduction to the world of dance, teaching students fundamental aspects like rhythm, coordination, flexibility, and balance. Additionally, dancers will acquire basic dance terminology.
Adult classes are an excellent form of exercise, offering participants a fun way to de-stress while enjoying themselves and honing their dance skills. Our diverse selection of adult dance classes includes options such as Ballroom and Swing. For further details, please refer to ourPlaybook.
Private Lessons
Available for ages 7 through adult.
Private Tap Dance Lessons: Personalized tap lessons are available with dance instructor Marissa Banker. These 30-minute one-on-one lessons are tailored to meet your individual needs and goals.
Private Ballroom Dance Lessons: Prepare for your wedding dance, enjoy a fun date night, get ready for a special event, or learn a fun new skill. Join award-winning Ballroom and Latin dance instructor, Gesi Vance.
Lessons are priced at $35/$42 (R/NR) per 30-minute lesson for Tap and $78/$100 (R/NR) per lesson for Ballroom. Lessons are scheduled privately based on room and instructor availability. To schedule lessons for either Tap or Ballroom, contact Marissa at[email protected].
