Park District Board Elects New Officers

May 4, 2016 — The Glen Ellyn Park District Board of Commissioners elected new officers at it’s Board meeting held on May 3rd. The Board elected officers to one year terms: Jay Kinzler, President; Julia Nephew, Vice President; and Melissa Creech, Treasurer.

In addition, Commissioners were selected to serve as liaisons/chairs for one-year terms as follows:

  • Citizens’ Finance Committee Liasons: Rob Weber and Chris Wilson
  • Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center Advisory Committee Co-Chairs: Vanessa Pierce and Julia Nephew
  • Citizens’ Environmental Committee Co-Chairs: Julia Nephew and Kathy Cornell
  • Friends of Glen Ellyn Parks Foundation Liasons: Melissa Creech and Kathy Cornell

Commissioners also appointed Dave Harris as Executive Director and Western DuPage Special Recreation Representative; Kimberly Dikker as Board Secretary; and Ancel Glink as its law firm.
