The Development of Maryknoll Park

The Maryknoll Property was initially purchased in 2000 for $5.3 million, and had previously been home to glaciers, a seminary, a law school and is now surrounded by houses. In 2006, the Glen Ellyn Park District built its first two platform tennis courts. By 2017, there were six platform tennis courts. In addition to platform tennis, the park district added bocce ball courts, a splash park, permanent bags, a playground, a zip line, and a picnic area.
