Park District Approves HGA Lease Agreement

Posted on: April 6, 2016

April 6, 2016 — The Glen Ellyn Park District has entered into an agreement with Hard Gainers Athletics (HGA) to license space, currently occupied by the Chicago Bulls/Sox Academy, at Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center. The new license agreement allows the Park District to retain both organizations as the space will serve as an area for HGA to provide expanded and enhanced sports performance training while still enabling the Bulls/Sox to train the Park District’s baseball and softball participants during the off-season.

The partnership between HGA and the Bulls/Sox represents a favorable outcome as both organizations have experienced growth and/or changes which required different needs then when they first became tenants of the facility. Through HGA’s and the Bulls/Sox collaboration, both the Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center and the Glen Ellyn community will continue to benefit by still having these opportunities and services available within the
Glen Ellyn Park District.

The current agreement between the Glen Ellyn Park District and Bulls/Sox is set to expire on April 30, 2016. The new license, which runs from May 1, 2016 through April 20, 2019, calls for HGA to pay an annual license fee for the next three years.

“The District is excited at the continued partnership with HGA and the Bulls/Sox Academy. Both organizations provide excellent services and programs and are an ideal fit with the other activities within the Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center,” stated Executive Director Harris.

Hard Gainers Athletics offers fully-customized strength & conditioning program for athletes and non-athletes. Established in 2012 by founder Clint Foley, HGA has experienced tremendous growth while offering successful programs for clients ranging from the introductory level to elite athletes.

“Hard Gainers Athletics is very excited about the opportunity for expansion and our continued partnership with the Glen Ellyn Park District, along with our new partnership with the Bulls/Sox Academy. Our strategic partnerships will allow us to expand our offerings to the Glen Ellyn community, while delivering a complete training experience for our local athletes,” stated HGA President & Founder Clint Foley.

The District has had an excellent partnership with the Bulls/Sox since the facility opened in 2010. They have
been an outstanding resource and training center for the Glen Ellyn baseball and softball participants over the past several years and has contributed significantly to the increased participation along with the improvement
of the players.
