Junior Explorer Passport Program: Discover 10 Parks, Earn a Prize!

Explore and win! The Junior Explorer Passport is here, inviting kids of all ages to visit 10 amazing Glen Ellyn parks. Find hidden stamps on this self-guided adventure from Saturday, June 14, 2025, through Sunday, July 13, 2025, and then bring your completed passport back to receive a gold star and a chance to win a fantastic gift basket! Glen Ellyn Parks Foundation Launches $800,000 Fundraising Campaign for Downtown Community Park Development

A new outdoor destination is coming to the heart of downtown Glen Ellyn, and the community is invited to help bring it to life. Summer Break at the Lake Extended to Two Nights for 2025!

Get ready for Summer Break at the Lake – two nights of unforgettable music, drinks, and food at Lake Ellyn Park! On Thursday, June 26, bring the whole family for a NEW all-ages show featuring Good Clean Fun from 7-8:30 pm. On Friday, June 27, the 21+ crowd can enjoy Rock The Ivory from 5:30-7 pm, followed by American English from 7:30-9:30 pm. Doors open at 5 pm both evenings.

Sip on drinks from local favorites like The Beer Cellar, Two Hound Red, Ko-ze Wine Room, and Common Good Cocktail House, and enjoy tasty bites from a variety of food trucks, all available for purchase. Glen Ellyn Park District Board Vacancy Announcement

Glen Ellyn Park District Board of Commissioners announces a vacancy in office and is now seeking a qualified individual to fill the vacant seat until the next election in April 2027, when the seat will be on the ballot for a two-year term. Interested Glen Ellyn Park District residents are encouraged to complete the application by 5 p.m. on June 3, 2025. As part of the selection process, applicants may be asked to attend an interview with the Board. To be eligible, an applicant must be a US citizen who is at least 18 years old, has lived within district boundaries for at least one year, and who is a registered voter. Read More »

Middle Schoolers Invited to Summer Kickoff Pool Party on June 6

Party at the pool with friends! Join us on Friday, June 6, 2025, for Teen Splash Bash at Sunset Pool from 7:30-9 pm. Enjoy a night of swimming, games, and fun with other middle schoolers (ages 10-14) to celebrate the start of summer break. Registration is required, and all attendees must be checked in and out by an adult or caregiver. The fee is $10 for residents and $15 for nonresidents. Clay Tennis Kick-Off Party

Due to inclement weather and current court conditions, the Clay Court Kick-Off Party at Lake Ellyn Park has been canceled for this evening, May 1st. Courts will open for member play on Friday, May 2nd, pending court conditions.

Join us on Thursday, May 1, from 5 pm to 7 pm to celebrate the renovated clay tennis courts at Lake Ellyn Park! There will be opportunities to play on the courts and matches featuring our tennis pros. Plus, enjoy free pizza from Pie Life (while supplies last), drinks for purchase from Two Hound Red, and live music at the Lake Ellyn Boathouse. This event is free and open to all ages.

Notice of Meeting Cancellation

Notice is hereby given that the Glen Ellyn Park District Board of Commissioners has cancelled their Workshop Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, 2025. The next meeting of Board Commissioners will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Spring Avenue Recreation Center, 185 Spring Avenue, Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and via Zoom, and will begin at its normal time of 7 pm.
