Sunset Pool Postseason Hours Begin August 11

Sunset Pool reduced daily swim hours run from Wednesday, August 11 to Monday, September 6. To provide safe and responsible oversight, the pool follows stringent guidelines and protocol in operation of the facility. The procedures and requirements are defined and established by the Illinois Department of Health and the Park District’s risk management provider, along with a respected and experienced third-party lifeguard consultant and management firm. Based on the pool space and water amenities, certified and trained lifeguards are required to be present and at the various stations around the deck. These lifeguards undergo significant preseason training and participate in weekly in-service classes and scenarios throughout the summer. The staff works extremely hard and are very dedicated to providing a safe aquatic experience for Sunset Pool patrons. Read More »
