Spring Avenue Fitness Center open by reservation only.

Spring Avenue Fitness is open by reservation only during Phase 4: Recovery guidelines under the Restore Illinois Plan. We have implemented modified operations and protocols that focus on the well-being of our members and staff. This includes frequent disinfection, distancing of equipment, and daily wellness checks for staff. Face coverings are required at all times, including while exercising.

Reservation System

Due to limited square footage and capacity guidelines from public health agencies, no more than 5 members may use the fitness center at one time. As such, use of Spring Avenue Fitness will be by reservation only until further notice. You may make reservations up to 7 days in advance by calling (630) 858-2462.

Fitness Center Hours

Due to COVID-19, the facility is following the special hours listed below. Members that need other hours may use the fitness center at Ackerman SFC until Spring Avenue Fitness resumes normal hours.

Monday to Friday: 9am – 5pm
Saturday: 9am – 12pm
Sunday: Closed

Please note, Spring Avenue Fitness Center is closed December 24, December 25, December 31, and January 1.

Getting There

You will find Spring Avenue Fitness inside the Spring Avenue Recreation Center at 185 Spring Avenue.

Know Before You Go: Rules & Safety Measures

Glen Ellyn Park District has put the following measures and protocols in place:

  • Face coverings will be required of staff and recommended for members when 6-feet of social distancing cannot be maintained.
  • Added hand sanitizing stations throughout the facility
  • Reduced customer capacity
  • Towels and exercise mats not available
  • Sneeze guards at front desk check in
  • COVID approved products will be available for your use with paper towels.
  • Please clean your equipment before and after use.
  • Bring your own hand sanitizer. Washrooms will be open for hand washing.
  • Daily self-wellness checks procedure for staff
  • Process for handling potential exposure to COVID-19 and a potential COVID-19 illness at work

Please be aware that participating in this program, you will be expressly assuming the risk and legal liability and waiving and releasing all claims for injuries, damages or loss which you or your minor child/ward might sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities connected with and associated with this program (including exposure to communicable disease).
