Governing Ordinances
To ensure the greatest enjoyment of the parks, the Glen Ellyn Park District has established general use ordinances. These rules also help maintain order and preserve safety.

Definition of Residency
Anyone living within the geographic boundaries of the Glen Ellyn Park District is considered a resident. Residents contribute financially to the operation of the park system through property taxes. To compensate for the property tax disparity, the District charges nonresidents a higher fee for programs. To view our boundary map, click here.
Financial Aid
As some residents may face financial hardship that prevents them from participating in District programs, we are proud to offer a scholarship program. For more information, email [email protected] or call (630) 858-2462. You can also view our scholarship program page here.
Refund Policy
As part of our commitment to continually improving the programs and services we offer, the Glen Ellyn Park District has recently updated our refund policy. This updated policy will go into effect on January 1, 2026.
This decision was made after careful review to ensure we can responsibly manage resources, plan effectively for programs, and continue providing high-quality experiences for everyone in our community. The updated policy allows us to better support staffing, facility use, and program preparation, all of which are essential to running the events and activities you enjoy.
Our goal is always to serve you better, and we appreciate your understanding and support. If you have any questions about the new policy, we encourage you to reach out to our team—we’re here to help.
Thank you for being a valued part of our park district community!
