We offer many unique and exciting programs each season designed specifically for adults and seniors. Whether you’re looking to meet new friends or pick up a hobby, we have just what you’re looking for. Adult and senior program opportunities include everything from dance classes to educational workshops.
See what adventures the Glen Ellyn Park District has to offer!
We put together a wide variety of trips throughout the year, so you can take a fun trip to the city, try your luck at a casino, and much more. All you have to do is register and show up – we take care of everything else. Bring a group of friends or go solo! Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Ages 55 and up Enjoy bingo, coffee, and donuts at Main Street Recreation Center on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Games are from 10:30-11:30 am. One bingo card per participant. Coffee, donuts, and bingo cards are provided, and prizes will be awarded to the winners. This free drop-in program is offered in partnership with Glen Ellyn Public Library.
For ages 50 and up Improve cognitive and physical health functions in this free drop-in program every Tuesday at 10-10:45 am at the Main Street Recreation Center. The class focuses on activating all five functions of the brain: strategic planning, memory/recall, analytical thinking, creativity, and kinesthetic learning. Senior Clubs

AMERICAN MAH-JONGG Make new friends every Friday between 10 am and 1 pm as you play one of the world’s greatest tile-based games. To join the club, it is best to have a basic understanding of how to play the game. Free.
BOUND TO READ BOOK CLUB Are you an avid reader who loves discussing books? Join our book club, which meets on the third Monday of each month from 10-11 am. Snacks will be provided. Books can be checked out from the Glen Ellyn Public Library. Free.
POKER PLUS CLUB Join us for poker and other favorite games on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from September through May, between 2-4 pm. All experience levels are welcome. Card decks and chips are provided. Free.
TRIVIA & SOCIAL CLUB Our trivia and social club meet on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 11 am-12 pm. Join us to play a game, learn something new, and test your knowledge with themed trivia. Snacks and treats are served. Free.
Athletics
Our leagues and tournaments offer opportunities for adults to compete against others in a safe, fun environment. We offer recreational and competitive levels of play so that everyone, from a multi-year vet to a rookie, can participate.
