Aquatics & Swim

Aquatics Programs through Glen Ellyn Park District are available during the summer. Information on registering will be available in the Spring/Summer Activity Guide.

Learn to Swim

The Glen Ellyn Park District’s Learn to Swim program provides a positive, fun-filled opportunity for children to learn skills that will help reduce the number of water accidents and provide lifelong aquatic enjoyment. Children will be moved up to the next level once all of the skills in the previous level have been mastered. Many skills in certain levels are dependent on physical development, strength and coordination. Please remember that each child is unique and develops at his or her own rate, and that progression through these levels varies greatly. View Learn to Swim lesson descriptions.

Gators Swim Team

The Gators Swim Team is made up of boys and girls 7-18 years of age who practice outdoors at Sunset pool and compete in the West Suburban Swim Conference throughout the summer. Participants practice daily and learn the techniques and discipline of competitive swimming while learning the value of sportsmanship and team spirit. Returning Gators will have priority registration; however no spots are guaranteed. The Gators compete at both “A” (more competitive) and “B” (less experienced) meets.
