February 5, 2024 At the Spring Avenue Recreation Center, protest signs and associated vehicles have been present within the right of way. United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 11, is in dispute with Ridgeline Enterprise Inc. Ridgeline is currently providing the construction services for improvements to Sunset Pool. While the dispute has nothing to do with the Glen Ellyn Park District and is not related to quality of work or performance, Local 11 has the right to protest and establish a lawful ambulatory picket both at the Park District’s headquarters and at the job site where Ridgeline is conducting work until Ridgeline has completed its work. October 9, 2023 Get ready to make a difference at the upcoming Blood and Food Drive event on October 17, 2023, held at Ackerman SFC from 9am to 3pm. Your generosity can help save lives and support those in need. Walk-ins are welcome for the blood drive, but we recommend booking an appointment in advance by clicking here.
In addition to the blood drive, we are also collecting non-perishable food items and toiletries for donation to the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry. When you arrive, simply drop off your contributions at the main entrance, and together we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.
