Celebrate Illinois oaks on Saturday, October 14, from 1-4 pm at Maryknoll Park, 845 Pershing Avenue in Glen Ellyn. This event is free and open to the public. Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult.
Family-Friendly Activities:
1-4 pm: Enjoy fall-themed activities and games like "Acorn-hole" and write a love letter to an oak.
1-4 pm: Play platform tennis on a first-come, first-served basis, with equipment and brief instruction provided.
1:15-2 pm: Take part in an outdoor yoga class with dripyoga. Registration is encouraged, bring your own mat.
1:30-3:30 pm: Listen to live music by School of Rock.
1:30 pm, 2:30 pm, and 3:30 pm: Join short nature walks to view a more than 100-year-old oak knoll.
1:30-3:30 pm: Participate in the Recycled Paper Making Workshop led by SCARCE.
