Friends of Glen Ellyn Parks

The Friends of Glen Ellyn Parks (FGEP) was formed in 2015. A 501(c)(3) not for profit
organization, FGEP solicits support for the Glen Ellyn Park District through volunteerism, gifts
and grants and planned giving opportunities. A Board of Directors consisting of local community
members acts to improve the quality of life for the residents utilizing the Park System.

Mission

The Friends of Glen Ellyn Parks provide opportunities for the preservation of open space, the
improvement of existing park district assets, development of recreational resources including
funding scholarship opportunities to enable all residents to participate in Park District
programs regardless of economic situations.

Vision

To provide an opportunity for individuals, businesses and industry to partner with the Glen Ellyn
Park District through donations, fundraising, grants, planned giving and community outreach.

Contributions

Everyone can help make a difference in improving the quality of life within the Glen Ellyn Park
District while assuring the future of our parks, facilities and programs. Donations and gifts in
kind demonstrate commitment, pride and ownership of the outstanding park resources within Glen
Ellyn. Major gifts provide a lasting legacy for future generations of parks.

Your gift provides you the satisfaction of supporting efforts to enhance parks and enable those
less fortunate to participate in district activities. Depending on your arrangement you choose,
you can also:

  • reduce your income taxes
  • avoid capital gains tax
  • increase your disposable income
  • retain payments for life
  • achieve no-cost, worry for asset management

The simplest way to contribute to the Friends of Glen Ellyn Parks is through cash gifts to the
Foundation. Creative gifts of assets can also include stocks, bonds, real estate and personal
property.
