Don’t trash your pumpkins—smash them! Keep those old jack-o’-lanterns out of the landfill by bringing them to Village Green Park on Saturday, November 8, from 9 am to 11 am for composting. Stop by Main Street Recreation Center for an eerie-sistible evening! Trunk or Treat is happening on Monday, October 27, from 4-6 pm. Walk the trunk trail, collect tasty treats, and show off your costumes! Don’t forget to try pumpkin carving—your creation will be added to the Pumpkins on Main display and could win a prize. Show off your pumpkin carving skills by entering our Pumpkins on Main Carving Contest. Carve a pumpkin at home and drop it off at the Main Street Recreation Center on October 27 or 28 between 8:30 am and 8 pm. Your jack-o’-lantern will be part of a festive community display outside the Main Street Recreation Center from October 27 to October 31. All entries are eligible to win fun prizes, including a $25 Glen Ellyn Park District gift certificate, free rounds of mini golf at Holes & Knolls, a candy-filled goodie bag, and more!
