During the last week of February, Lake Ellyn Boathouse is converted back to a rental facility and is no longer available as a warming shelter for ice skaters. Skating will continue at Lake Ellyn for as long as conditions are safe and conducive for skating.

For the latest on ice conditions at Lake Ellyn and the other outdoor rinks, please visit www.gepark.org/weather. At Lake Ellyn, you may also check the light on the south end of the Boathouse roof. A red light indicates conditions are unsafe for skating. A yellow light indicates safe ice conditions, but the Boathouse is closed.
