Natural Area Restoration
Oaks and hickories don’t live forever. To ensure future generations of Glen Ellyn residents can enjoy the beauty, shade, and ecological benefits of these trees, the Park District has been working toward restoring the park’s oak woodland and creating conditions that will encourage new trees to germinate, grow, and flourish.

The oak savanna is located in the northwest corner of the park.

Demonstration Garden
Located in the circle in front of the Boathouse is a demonstration garden with QR codes. The codes link visitors to more information about the featured plants. The garden was funded by DuPage Foundation’s Glen Ellyn Fund.
