Lake Ellyn Park & Glenbard West Sidewalk Improvements Begin July 9, 2018

In collaboration with the Village of Glen Ellyn and Glenbard West High School, paths around Lake Ellyn and the park will be improved and/or added with construction beginning on Monday, July 9, 2018, and is anticipated to be completed before school activities begin in mid-August. 2018 Family Fun Night Features Live Kids’ Music, Rides, Crafts

Tesla/Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Visitors to Sunset Pool and Maryknoll Park can now charge their electric or Tesla vehicles free of charge, thanks to charging stations provided by Tesla. These stations are available to Park District patrons to utilize for up to two hours. While the spots are preferred parking for electric/Tesla vehicles, all vehicles are welcome. The District is excited to offer this new service to our patrons, which helps to promote a cleaner and greener Glen Ellyn.

Lake Ellyn Cardboard Regatta Parking

Planning to drive to the Lake Ellyn Cardboard Regatta on Saturday, June 30, 2018? Please be sure to follow posted signage if parking on the streets surrounding Lake Ellyn Park. Additional parking is available in the Glenbard West parking lot across from Duchon Field and in the Metra commuter lots in downtown Glen Ellyn. For additional parking options in downtown Glen Ellyn, please view the Village’s interactive parking map by clicking here. Please note, Lenox Road will be closed to thru traffic on June 30th.

Glen Ellyn Girls All-Star Tournament Canceled

The Glen Ellyn Girls All-Star Tournament has been canceled in its entirety and all teams will be issued refunds. Fields are underwater and are not expected to be playable at all this weekend. Thank you for your understanding and we hope that you consider joining us again next year.

Main Ackerman SFC Parking Lot Closed Beginning July 9

As part of the Ackerman SFC Parking Lot Improvement Project, beginning Monday, July 9 through mid-September, the main lot at Ackerman SFC will be closed. Parking will be available to the east of the facility near the playground. The parking spaces directly in front of the facility, just to the east of the front doors, will be available with the majority dedicated to handicap parking. River Sweep Keeps DuPage River Clean, Safe

On Saturday, May 19th, volunteers gathered to combine their efforts for another successful DuPage County River Sweep. While last year’s event was cut short due to thunderstorms, this year resulted in a terrific turnout, with a large amount of trash and debris being removed from the shoreline along the river. Board Approves Ackerman SFC Parking Lot Improvements

Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center is getting a new parking lot! Planned improvements include resurfacing and repair of the lot, lighting improvements, and bioswales to reduce runoff volumes and improve stormwater quality. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in mid-July, with completion of the lot anticipated in mid-September. A more specific timeline will be provided closer to the beginning of the project. Touch-A-Truck 2018: Where to Park

Planning to roll over to Touch-A-Truck on Saturday, May 5, 2018? Parking for this event is located at Roosevelt Glen Corporate Center (799 Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn). A complimentary shuttle will run every 15 minutes from the parking area to the event area. Parking will not be available within Maryknoll Park.
