August 18, 2017 The floating island restorers, which will be placed near the inflow areas of Lake Ellyn, have been temporarily located near the shore to make initial watering easier. Once the plants grow larger, their roots will hang below the islands. The roots, along with microbes that adhere to the surface of the islands, help absorb extra nutrients, sediments and other pollutants that enter the lake as stormwater. Read More »

July 28, 2017 The first phase of construction that has taken place on the south side of the parking lot has been completed and will be open Friday, July 28th. Phase two will begin shortly after the first phase has been completed and includes the renovation of the north side of the parking lot, a new paved walkway leading from the parking lot to the Dog Park, and new entrance and exit Dog Park gates.
