Notice of Meeting Time Change

Notice is hereby given that the Glen Ellyn Park District Board of Commissioners has changed the start time for their Regular Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 21, 2018. The Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners for Tuesday, August 21, 2018 will now begin at 6:00 p.m. instead of its regularly scheduled time of 7:00 p.m. at the Spring Avenue Recreation Center, 185 Spring Avenue, Glen Ellyn, IL.

Spring Avenue Dog Park Scheduled Closure

Kindergarten Enrichment Class Enhances Student Learning

By the time a child enters Kindergarten, it’s important to ensure that he or she is receiving the attention and instruction necessary to prepare for both the current Kindergarten year and for subsequent school years. Ackerman Park Entrance Drive Update

Please be advised the construction company is scheduled to pour concrete for the sidewalk along the Ackerman SFC/Parkview Church entrance drive on Tuesday, August 7 (weather dependent). Vehicles will be able to pass by during the process and the entrance drive will remain open. Please use caution when passing.

Reminder to Lock Your Vehicle

Please remember to remove your valuables, take your keys, and lock your car when visiting our parks and facilities. A vehicle with unlocked doors or valuables in view is an easy target for theft. Thank you!

New Playgrounds Coming to Main Street Recreation Center and President’s Park

When it comes to organized sports, it’s not all about the kids! The Glen Ellyn Park District is now offering a variety of adult sports leagues starting in the fall, so that men and women aged 18 and up can enjoy the same sports opportunities as the youngsters. Spring Avenue Dog Park Annual Maintenance Closure

The Spring Avenue Dog Park will be closed on Wednesday, July 25th between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for annual maintenance. The rain date for the cleanup day, if needed, will be Tuesday, July 31st from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We ask that you please remain out of the Park during those times as the fence gates will be open and equipment and personnel will be working in the Park during those times.

Glen Ellyn Park District Autumn Registration Starts July 29 for Residents

The Glen Ellyn Park District begins registering for autumn programs on Sunday, July 29 at 10pm. The Autumn Activity Guide was delivered to all residents and is also available online at gepark.org/activity-guide. Lake Ellyn Park & Glenbard West Sidewalk Improvements Begin July 9, 2018

In collaboration with the Village of Glen Ellyn and Glenbard West High School, paths around Lake Ellyn and the park will be improved and/or added with construction beginning on Monday, July 9, 2018, and is anticipated to be completed before school activities begin in mid-August.
